Fresh off a strong debut during the 2024 F1 Academy season, Lia Block is back for her second campaign in the series, hoping to improve on her eighth-place finish in the Drivers’ Championship a year ago.
This year, the Williams driver will get an extra boost.
Block is joining the Rockstar Energy athlete lineup ahead of the 2025 F1 Academy season, which begins next month at the Chinese Grand Prix.
“For as long as I can remember, racing has been my passion,” said Block in the announcement. “To be able to wear the iconic gold star and represent Rockstar Energy on the track as I step into this next chapter of my career is an incredible milestone – especially as the first female driver on their roster. I hope this partnership inspires more women to break into racing and chase their dreams.”
As noted by the Williams driver she is Rockstar Energy’s first female driver on their roster of athletes, which includes three-time Formula Drift champion Fredric Aasbø and his teammate Ryan Tuerck; surfer and Olympic medalist Tatiana Weston-Webb; snowboarders Jill Perkins, Olympic Gold Medalist Red Gerard, and six-time X Games Medalist Reira Iwabuchi; and Olympic skateboarders Chris Joslin, Cory Juneau and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Keegan Palmer.
